During our next meeting we will hold elections for the Wilshire Square Neighborhood Association board. If you are interested in participating in the board, please let us know and we will add you to the candidate list for the vote on 2/6 at 1142 S Ross St. We will have our usual social hour beginning at 6PM with the meeting and elections commencing at 7PM. We have the following board positions up for election:
President – The president conducts the monthly meetings and helps lead the overall direction of the association’s activities.
Current Candidates: Joshua Eftekhari
Vice President – The Vice President assists the president in their duties and fills in during absence.
Current Candidates: Irma Jauregui
Secretary – The secretary documents the minutes of meetings, creates the meeting agenda, and coordinates flyer production and distribution.
Current Candidates: Jennifer Schutza
Treasurer – The treasurer accounts for the finances of the association, and provides a monthly budget report during the meetings.
Current Candidates: Scott Davidson
Collectively, the board works together to coordinate guest speakers at the monthly meetings, to coordinate the annual Wilshire Square events, and to work with the city on matters of community interest.
Up for consideration this year is the possible splitting of secretarial duties. If you have any interest in taking ownership of the flyer responsibilities, Jennifer would happily take meeting minutes and create the agendas.
