Now posted: Photos from our October 2006 Tea Around the World

In 1987, local residents in this 700 home area of vintage homes organized as the Wilshire Square Neighborhood in part to protect our classic homes from the encroachment  of "redevelopment" as well as to increase the bonding as neighbors and friends.

For almost 20 years, the residents of the neighborhood have worked together to support the improvement and renovation of our local homes, to host home tours, teas, and art festivals to share the appreciation of the wonderful neighborhood we have, and to preserve and protect the quality of living in our little corner of the world. (And we even share our treasured recipes!)

We are a mix of residents with different views, from different birth places, and with varying opinions on the future of our fair city.

But we are a neighborhood whose strength is caring for each other and enjoying the camaraderie of good friends.

We invite you to join us!
